Hello Readers,
99:9 here with another newsletter. Here’s the new content I uploaded this week:
This fallen world is filled with pleasures. And God designed us with the capacity to enjoy these pleasures. So pleasure is a gift from God, and not necessarily sinful itself (depending). But if we enjoy any of the pleasures in this world, we must thank God for them. We must never forget from where all good things come from, and we must live a life focused in the right direction—God.
The Christian Book Corner #7: The Confessions of Saint Augustine
The seventh post for The Christian Book Corner is a “book report,” not a book review. Because how could I ever ‘review’ one of the most important writings in Christianity besides the Bible?? No, there’s no review here. But in Part 7 I introduce to readers who aren’t familiar with it The Confessions of Saint Augustine. It’s a personally intimate and relatable testimony from the 4th Century, and one of the most influential books in all of Christianity. Check out Part 7 of The Christian Book Corner to learn more.
This post is inspired by a quote from Augustine. He says, “Spiritual men, therefore, whether those who are in authority or those who are subject to authority, judge spiritually.” And what could he mean by that?? Who are Spiritual men, and how do we become one?? How do we judge Spiritually, and what do we judge?? Check out today’s post to find out.
Well that’s all for the week. I hope this gives you something good to read on your Sunday. Enjoy the week. I’ll be back next week with the next newsletter!
