Hello Readers,
99:9 here with another newsletter. Here’s the new content I uploaded this week:
Do Not Fear the End Times Part 82: Power: A Pointless Pursuit
Power. Everyone wants it, right? It’s true that life is hard when we don’t have power of our own. But is power something we should care about as Christians? Because getting power often means we need to do some very un-Christlike things to get it. So is power even worth having, in the end? A post inspired by the famous book, The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene.
Do Not Fear the End Times Part 83: When We Feel like Job
“Will we receive good from God but not also receive bad?” Suffering is a sad fact of life. But it’s inevitable and no one can avoid it. In the Book of Job we see the story of a man who loses everything … except his Faith in God. Part 83 is the start of a short mini-series of posts about Job, and what we can learn from his example about dealing with suffering.
Do Not Fear the End Times Part 84: No God = No Hope
In the worst of Job’s suffering, he felt like God had abandoned him. But God never abandoned Job in his suffering, and God never abandons us either. It often feels that way, at times. But it’s never the case. God does not call us to Him only to abandon us on our path later. We need to hold on to our Hope in God when things are bad, because it’s all we’ve got. If we lose our Hope in God, we’re dead.
Well that’s all for the week. I hope this gives you something good to read on your Sunday. Enjoy the week. I’ll be back next week with the next newsletter!
