99:9's Weekly Round Up #40
My content for the week
99:9 here with another newsletter. Here’s the new content I uploaded this week:
Not everything is meant to be shared. If God shows us favor, sometimes we should quietly keep that to ourselves. Envy is an incredibly powerful motivating force in people’s lives. Envy moves people to commit atrocious evils. As we can see in Genesis 37, the story of envy leading to evil is a story as old as the Old Testament. Read Part 77 to learn more, and to learn what this means for Christians today.
“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love (1 John 4:8, NIV).” Since God is love, hatred (the opposite of love) is of the devil. Hatred is an emotion the devil wants us to feel, because he wants to tear the people of earth apart. Both the Old and New Testaments have many teachings about rejecting hatred and showing love. Hatred toward anyone is against God’s Will, so we must stay vigilant against this horribly destructive vice. We can never tolerate it in our lives. Read Part 24 of Victory in Virtue to find out more.
Another post on the QAnon conspiracy theory movement. This one delves into the movement’s history of missed/failed prophecies and predictions. Turning to Deuteronomy to find the Old Testament rules on who is a false prophet, we find another reason why Christians should be avoiding QAnon. Find out more in Part 78.
Well that’s all for the week. I hope this gives you something good to read on your Sunday. Enjoy the week. I’ll be back next week with the next newsletter!
